Always look on the bright side of life

Despite the bad weather here in Belgium, I was very happy when the package from Pin Up Couture arrived in my mailbox. I bought this lovely retro bikini online a week ago and hoped it would bring the sun with it, but it was not... But I look forward to the day when I can wear my new purchase in the bright sun!

The Kooples AW 2011 collection

The new autumn/winter collection from The Kooples is online and it promises to be a fantastic collection! The new color of this winter will certainly be the burgundy red (which is one of my favorite colors of the past months). I'm already in love with this beautiful collection:

When I grow up...

I have always been inspired by the glamourous moviestars who always seemed to look just perfect - even when they just come out of their bed. Even though I know that they have make-up artists and stylists to make them look just like that, I have always been curious how they think about that theirselves. I think it must be exhausting to always look perfect!
I love to wake up on a sunday morning and knowing that I can stay in my jogging all day long and I can go to the baker without make-up on without feeling me down about that. And that's all because it is allowed to have a lazy day once in the week - or maybe even twice!
But for these photos I did my very best to look perfect too. Enjoy it!

Nialaya bracelet

A couple of weeks ago I ordered this lovely bracelet from Nialaya. Yesterday I found the bracelet in my mail box. The stones used in the bracelet both have a unique meaning:
The black crystal stone is the most powerful healing stone.
This stone amplifies prayers and wishes.
The black agate stone is the stone everyone should have for protection.
It is one of the oldest stones in recorded history.

Emergency vacation

A little bit groggy after the operation.

His wound after the operation.

the view of the room...

Time enough to read the daily newspaper!

Some pictures of how my last week looked like...
I spent most of my time in the hospital watching my boyfriend being cured for a navel rupture. After two weeks of untenable stomach cramps and pain, we finally went to the emergency. He had to stay there for the night and the next day they immediately operate him. Everything went well and after 5 days of hospital care he finally could go home. For the next two weeks, a nurse comes to clean his wound and renew his bandage every morning at home. I hope everything goes well and he can be cured quickly!
