Look of the day: New Year's eve

New Year's outfit

If you want to shine on the last evening of the year, than get yourself inspired by this outfit post. It's all about glitter & glamour, but also with a little bit of rock-'n-roll! Because New Year is all about dancing away the past year and creating a good begin of the new one.
The dress is so perfect for this special event: it has the perfect cut to make you very elegant, while the jacquard pattern makes it very classy. But the dress is also very warm en comfortable thanks to the silk-blend jacquard knit. The leather jacket by Rick Owens makes the look a little bit rebellious, but we can't end the year without a bit of rock-'n-roll! The wonderful clutch from Bottega Veneta brings the look to a higher level thanks to the signature woven leather. To finish the look, we bring on the glitters: the Miu Miu booties can't be missed for New Year, they are the best party shoes ever!
I hope you will shine as much as the outfit does this evening... but above all, I wish you all a Happy New Year !

Holiday make-up and hair ideas

With the new year coming up, it's time to prepare ourselves for the last night of the year.  I collected some hair and make-up ideas for the big moment, because it's very important to end the year in style!

For the make-up I opted for natural and pure look, because that's the best way to discreetly accentuate your best parts. You will only need a good foundation, some black mascara or beautiful false lashes, an eyeliner, a natural color palette of eyeshadow and a nude lipstick. Underneath you can find some examples of natural looks:

For the hair I inspired myself by the forties look with beautiful curls and vintage up do's. I love this style, as it shows off a lot of glamour! In the first three pictures you can see how celebrities like Diane Kruger and Reese Whiterspoon used this style. And it's not that difficult: if you can handle heating rolls and some bobby pins, you can get away with this style in no time! If you don't like this style or it's just not you, try the bohemian braid (shown in the last two pictures). It's very easy and it looks very lovely.

I wish you all a very lovely weekend with lots of pleasure, tasty food and unforgettable moments. I hope that everyone can share these moments with your loved ones, friends and family. Enjoy it!

All the pretty faces

Last week I took these pictures during my lunch break at work. I was very proud about my messy bun that day, because it looked great after just one try (normally, it takes me four times to create a messy bun that's okay...)! So I found that my bun deserved a bow to shine even more. I also love the outfit that I'm wearing on these pictures, it's classy and pretty. I only regret that I don't have a full body picture.

And... I received my iPhone skin case from Lanvin with the pretty faces on it. It looks so gorgeous, don't you think? I love it! :)

Tribute to my family

Last Saturday, my sweet brother and sister passed by at SMETS Premium Store to discover my new workplace. They found it amazing and they really liked the visit, but most of all they liked my colleagues! I'll have to keep an eye on my sister or soon I'll have a new brother-in-law a.k.a. colleague. Typical! ;) But it's true that I have some wonderful colleagues, ensuring me that every day is a lovely day to go to work.

I took these lovely pictures from my brother and sister while fitting a pair of Diesel jeans.  They are so fashionable on the pictures! My 'little' brother is getting so large, I can not longer pretend being his third mother (after my mom and big sister off course). I can still remember him being a little defenseless baby where we played with - finally, we got a doll that could really cry! :) I can even remember wondering how my baby brother would look like when he would be older: blonde curls, beautiful eyes, the hot guy on school... It's great to see him becoming a real man; looking at the girls, spending hours in front of the mirror to make sure his hair is perfect and developing his personal style. I'm proud of them, my brother and sister. And these pictures are the best proof of it: they are beautiful!

Merry Christmas

I wish you all a warm and merry Christmas with lots of love and sociability, but most of all lots of presents! It's such a nice time to meet friends and family and have a good time. I love the sphere that Christmas brings us; the lights in these dark days, being together with the family and just spending some great time with your loved ones. I love it!
Enjoy it and I hope everybody has a lovely week-end.

Ma Muse de Mode: Ashley & Mary-Kate Olsen

I just found out that I forgot to post a Ma Muse de Mode post last Saturday, I'm so sorry! But I will make it up by talking about two style icons this time, namely the twin sisters Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. The two sisters began their career at the age of 9 months as little Michelle Tanner in the television series Full House. They also played lots of other roles in several movies, most of the time as twins.

But what's more important here, is their career in fashion business. The two girls have a clothing line for young girls in Wal-Mart and they have also launched their own couture label 'The Row' named after the famous Savile Row.

Look of the day: comfortable but still feminine

Look of the day: comfy days

After ten days of hard work, I finally have a day off today! So first things first: working on my blog. Since I started working at Smets, I really have to organize my spare time to work on my blog. But give me a couple of weeks and I'll manage it to combine both! And off course this is a hobby, so it's always a pleasure to do some research and writing about it on my blog.

So for today I created a new look and I decided to keep it a little bit comfy and easy, but at the same time elegant and feminine. You know, that's one of my specialties! So I chose a silk dress from Lanvin, to keep it someway glamourous, combined with an elastic pants from McQ which is very comfortable. This is the perfect outfit to work in from home!

The Mulberry Alexa satchel in blue marine crocodile leather is such a must-have for the upcoming summer and I have some great news about it: we will be selling it in Smets Premium Store in Brussels!! Normally the bag should arrive in January, so we have to be patient a little longer. Ooh, I can't wait to hold this bag in real life! The black bracelet with the skull is from another lovely brand we sell at Smets Premium Store: Rita&Zia Genève. This brand is all about precious materials that pay tribute to different cultures.

As you see, I can keep talking about all the new things I discovered during the first weeks at Smets Premium Store! As a matter of fact, I am very grateful that I can be part of this project because this job really enriches my knowledge. And as with any business there are always things I'd rather see otherwiseBut I am convinced that we can only learn about our mistakes and improve!

I hope everyone can celebrate a wonderful Christmas with friends and family this weekend. Have a great time everyone!
